Tune in Tuesday: Random Playlists Edition (5-1-2012)

Tune-in Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by Ginger from GReads. The idea is to share a song that you love, new or old, in order to spread some music around the blogosphere! The month of May is dedicated to random songs off of your playlist! So hit that shuffle button and link up!

Here are my (randomized) picks for this week:

"Winter Song" by Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson

Favorite Lines

"They say that things just cannot grow
beneath the winter snow
or so I have been told.

They say we're buried far
just like a distant star
I simply cannot hold.

Is love alive?
Is love alive?
Is love alive?

"Don't Speak" by No Doubt

Favorite Lines

"You and me
We used to be together
Everyday together always
I really feel
That I'm losing my best friend
I can't believe
This could be the end
It looks as though you're letting go
And if it's real
Well I don't want to know

Don't speak
I know just what you're saying
So please stop explaining
Don't tell me cause it hurts
Don't speak
I know what you're thinking
I don't need your reasons
Don't tell me cause it hurts"

"Can't Go Back Now" by The Weepies

Favorite Lines

"You know there will be days
When you're so tired
That you can't take another step
The night will have no stars
And you'll think you've gone as far
As you will ever get

You and me walk on, walk on, walk on
'Cause you can't go back now"

  17. I just tried to remember what was happening in my life back when Don't Speak was wildly popular, and it lead me to realize that I'm not getting any younger, which is sort of depressing. BUT all three songs are great so I have that to comfort me. :)

  20. This is random. But so am I.

    1. I read this week that No Doubt has a new album coming out. I read it Alternative Press. I got REALLY EXCITED. I've been a huge fan forever.

    2. Ingrid Michaelson is married to Greg Laswell, who is one of my favorites. It's actually how I found Ingrid. And Sara Bareilles for that matter. He sings duets with the both of them from time to time. I highly recommend you check out his GORGEOUS ANGELIC VOICE if you don't know him.

    3. YAY The Weepies!

    Ok, I'm done now.

    1. I know! I'm excited about the new No Doubt album too. It seems like they've been working on it forever!

I'm relatively new to Greg Laswell, but I'm addicted to his song "Comes and Goes," so I'm definitely willing to check out more from him!
