Nook Book Deals Under $5

Though I don't have anything against Kindles, I, personally, own a Nook, so I'm always a little saddened to see that most e-book deals posts I see are about sales on Amazon. Don't get me wrong, I still use Amazon, but because of my Nook, most of my e-book purchases are made through Barnes and Noble. So, for those of you who are like me and lean a little more towards B&N, I've compiled a little list of Nook Book sales that I've found recently. Keep in mind that these prices were accurate at the time of posting, but they are subject to change. Click the images below to visit the link! Disclaimer: I do NOT receive any percentage of purchases made through these links. They are simply there for your convenience.

For Kindle users, you might want to check out the Amazon deals listed by Parajunkee!

Also, please let me know if you decide snag any of these books. I'm thinking about turning this into a regular feature, but I want to know if you guys are getting any use out of it first!

Have a great weekend!

  1. Oh, I love this idea! Even though I am sadly without both nook and kindle. I've been really trying to decide if I should get one lately, though, trying to weigh all the pros and cons, that sort of thing. They just seem so wonderfully convenient, and some of the book deals up there make me want to run out and buy one straight away. What do you think? Am I totally missing out?!

    1. Personally, I will ALWAYS be more of a paper and glue kinda gal when it comes to books, but I do really like having my Nook, especially with so many publishers going digital. It's a little hard to "snuggle up" with my laptop, and I can't read books on it for more than an hour or two, so I like having my e-reader so I can read e-books and e-galleys that publishers send me (and the ones I get from NetGalley, of course). I also find it handy to have when I go on long trips so I don't have to bring an extra suitcase full of books. And yes, sometimes I find some pretty good e-book deals as well. Reading on an e-reader took a little getting used to, but I got the hang of it in no time. In my opinion, an e-reader is totally worth it, but I think it all comes down to personal preference. I will never stop buying hard copy books, but having an e-reader gives me more options.

    2. They are SO worth it. Convenient, amazing for traveling or being on the go, and great book deals. I love reading so I embrace all formats including audiobooks and eBooks.

    3. Yeah, that's why I was hesitant to get one from the start. I really do just love the feel of a book in my hand, the way the pages smell. They're comforting and familiar, and that feeling is irreplaceable. I am pretty much sold on getting one now, though. The practicality wins out in the end, especially since I love to travel, and it's so silly of me to bring along an extra case just for my books wherever I go!

Thank you for the help, guys! I think I'll start shopping around :)

  2. I'm glad to finally see one of these for Nook owners to look through. I usually just try to pull up the Amazon ones and copy paste the title of the book in at B&N website. Sometimes they have the same deals, often not. I wonder why there aren't as many deals for Nook. I was thinking about writing a post on this to see if any other Nook users noticed it. In any case, definitely a good idea to do this. I should do something like this too so that more Nook friends can see that there are deals out there. :) Thanks for this!

  3. Holy Smokes - there are so many choices! I feel like the free titles were mostly no big whoop (for me anyway!) but there was tons of great choices for only a few dollars!! Thanks for letting us know :)

  4. Wow! thanks so much for posting these! I am a Nook owner, and actually most of the books I read on there are egalleys from Netgalley, but I do like to buy cheap ones, and I see some on here I want to purchase for that price! Thanks again!

  5. I don't know - I always loil at Nook AND Kindle deals because I often find that they both sites have the same deals at the same time. Usually because the publisher is setting the price, I guess.

  6. I have a kindle now (just got it!)but I've already found that if nook has the deal then kindle usually has the deal as well. But nook doesn't seem to have as many as kindle so this is great! I'm actually looking some up that you listed right now. I know I've seen some in the less then $3.99 section on my kindle though.

  8. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I have a Nook, and it always bums me out when everyone posts book deals from Amazon! It seems most book bloggers have a bias in favor of Amazon, but I've *always* bought my books from B&N.

Occasionally, Amazon and B&N will have the same e-book deals, but I have to do a lot of copy and pasting into B&N's search bar to learn which ones they are. This is...so time consuming. And a lot of times, it ends in a let down because some books are exclusive to Amazon or on B&N the book is still listed at full price.

So glad someone is out there looking out for the Nook owners (even if it may be damaging to my bank account)!

  11. LOOOOOOOOOL! And I thought I couldn't want an e-reader any more than I already did -- this post is like putting chocolate in front of a chocoholic and saying, "You can't have any." A little bit torturous, and a lotta bit tempting! x) There are so many awesome deals here! Although I guess I'll just have to buy the paperback books if I really want to read them! ;)

Really cool idea, Natalie! I LOVE how you're spotlighting Nooks over Kindles -- you're totally right when you say people don't think about them enough! :) <3
