**NOTE: You can skip all of the introductory and category breakdown stuff if you'd like, and go straight to the rules and the voting. I provided this information for those who wanted to see how exactly I determined which blogs got on the ballot and why they were placed in which category. **
Introduction
First of all, thanks to all of you who took the time to nominate blogs for the 2010 Readers' Choice Awards! Every blog that was nominated and met the requirements was put on the ballot. If you don't see a blog you nominated on the list, chances are I was unable to identify it because a) the URL was not provided or b) the URL was provided, but the URL did not match the blog that was named. If you did both and still don't see the blog on the list, then you can vote for it by using the write-in option provided in the voting form!
Categories
There are two categories for Best Blog: "Best New Blog," and "Best Blog." In order to qualify for Best New Blog, a blog must have been started sometime during the 2010 year. It can not be older than that. All blogs that were nominated for either category that fit this requirement were placed on the voting form for Best New Blog. If a blog was nominated for Best Blog and was a year or less "old," it was moved to the Best New Blog category. Blogs nominated that were older than a year were placed in the category of Best Blog.
If You Notice a Mistake
If you see something that's wrong (a blog that leads to the wrong URL, a blog that appears twice on the ballot, a blog in the wrong category, etc.) please send me an e-mail ASAP so I can correct the mistake. I went over the list several times, but due to the large amount of nominations, there's a good chance that I made a mistake somewhere. What YOU Can Win!
Everyone who votes will be entered to win his or her choice of any of the books nominated Readers' Choice Awards. Winner gets to pick one book, which I will buy from the Book Depository. This means the giveaway is INTERNATIONAL, as long as the Book Depository ships to your country. So far, the only book category that's been posted is Best Cover, but I will update the links below so you can see all of the books you can choose from if you win! The Best Cover Category already has 30 nominees, so the winner will have LOTS of books to choose from.
How to Vote
-Each person gets two votes--one vote for each category
-Fill out the form below. Your name and e-mail are used for two reasons: 1) to make sure people don't just reload the form and vote for the same person over and over again and 2) to contact you if you win the giveaway!
-Since I already have the URLs of all the blogs listed, all you have to do is type the name of the blog you wish to vote for. The only time you need to provide a blog URL is if you choose to use the write-in option.
-Voting ends 12/31st at 11:59 PM (CST, US)
-Voting ends 12/31st at 11:59 PM (CST, US)
-The top 10 will be announced the week of January 1st, as well as the winner of the giveaway!
