I thought I'd drop in and give you an update on how the voting's going for the 2010 Readers' Choice Awards. Now, don't get too excited, because I won't be telling you who's in the lead, but I thought you might be curious to see how many people have turned up to vote so far. Here are the number breakdowns! The percentage in parentheses is the approximate percentage of my followers that have already voted.
-Best Blog/Best New Blog: 463 votes (31.9%)
-Most Anticipated Book of 2011: 126 votes (8.7%)
-Best Cover: 126 votes (8.7%)
Best Characters of 2010: 133 votes (9.2%)
Best Books of 2010: 138 votes (9.5%)
Best Series of 2010: 168 votes (11.6%)
Average Percentage of All Categories: 13.6%
Now...that's not a horrible turnout so far. The categories have only been posted for about a week, and that week included Christmas, which means people weren't online as much as they usually are. However, I would really like to see that overall percentage to get to at least 50% before I close voting and start tallying on Jan. 1st. So here I am to beg.
PLEASE cast your vote for the 2010 Readers' Choice Awards if you haven't already. All of them are multiple choice, and you don't have to vote in every single category if you don't want to. It only takes a minute or two for each form, (unless you get caught up in an intense internal debate), and it would make me SO happy to see those numbers go up!
